The Library of Congress / University of Maryland Libraries Partnership

What is the nature of this partnership?

The University of Maryland Libraries and the Library of Congress have forged a partnership whose purpose is to increase options for scholarly research and collaboration. The Library of Congress has many primary and secondary resources that complement the collections of the University of Maryland Libraries.

The aim of this new partnership is to facilitate access to the on-site Library of Congress collections for University of Maryland faculty and students and to encourage the integration of the scholarly research materials from both libraries into the University of Maryland course curriculum.

How can I integrate Library of Congress resources into my course curriculum?

Work with a University of Maryland librarian to see if there are appropriate collections at the Library of Congress that can be made available to your students for their research projects. Faculty may contact their library subject specialist to begin investigating how this partnership might benefit their courses.
