Kathy Glennan

I am Director of Cataloging & Metadata Services and a music cataloging expert with over 35 years of experience. My department creates, enhances, and maintains high-quality descriptive metadata, promoting discovery and providing access to UMD’s collections.

I am active in the Music Library Association, the Program for Cooperative Cataloging, and ALA’s Core Division. Since 2005, my professional contributions have focused on the development of *RDA: Research Description and Access*. This includes serving on the RDA Steering Committee since 2013 (becoming Chair in 2019), as well as giving numerous local, regional, national, and international presentations.
