Borrowing material: Alumni can borrow from the UM Libraries if they are either current members of the UM Alumni Association or the Friends of the Libraries Borrowers Program. For policies and borrowing information see Borrowing Materials from UM Libraries.
Accessing the Catalog and Databases
- Catalog: Anyone can search the Libraries' Catalog either on or off campus, regardless of affiliation with UM.
- Databases:
- On campus: Anyone can access all of our resources by visiting a campus library in person.
- Off campus: Individual Friends of the Libraries borrowers have the opportunity to sign up for the following select remote access to databases:
- Academic Search Alumni Edition. This database provides full text for nearly 1,500 publications as well as indexing and abstracting for over 8,100 publications. There is information in nearly every area of academic study. See title list for publications included in the database.
- Business Source Alumni Edition. This database provides nearly 1,100 full text business magazines and journals. See title list for publications included in the database.
