Find Your Library Barcode
To access library services at Shady Grove Library, Student, Faculty and Staff will need a 14-digit library barcode. If you are affiliated with any of the participating institutions at the Universities at Shady Grove and have not received your ID Card with the 14-digit library barcode, you may be able to find it by following the directions given below by your university.Table of Contents
Bowie State University
Please follow the directions below for ID Card:- To obtain an ID Card from Bowie State University, visit the Wiseman Student Centre, Room 118, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Phone: (301) 860-3795.
- Must register your Bowie ID Card at Thurgood Marshall Library, Circulation Desk in order to activate the 14-digit library number.
- To Update Your ID Card, every Fall Semester, call the Circulation Desk at (301) 860-3870.
Salisbury University
To find your barcode follow the directions given below:
- Log into your GullNet account at www.salisbury.edu/gullnet.
- From the menu options, click on 'Library Barcode' and your 14 digit number will display.
- For questions e-mail or call the Blackwell Library, Circulation Desk at (410) 543-6130.
Towson University
Your library barcode number is printed on your OneCard, the TU ID card. It is the 14-digit number printed above the vertical lines of the barcode. University of Baltimore
UB-Langsdale Library has a link on its homepage Library Accounts where one can request a new account or renew an account.- Go to langsdale.ubalt.edu.
- On the right-hand side of the page, under Use it, Library Accounts click on "New Account" or "Renew Account".
- Students can also go directly to the form at

University of Maryland, Baltimore – HS/HSL
Obtaining a UMB1One Card or Barcode: Shady Grove Students enrolled in a UMB distance education courses, UMB faculty that provide instruction at a distance, and UMB staff at remote locations are not required to come to campus to obtain a UMB1One card. However, to access Library resources from offsite, you must use a UMB barcode. Obtain your barcode from the UMB portal.- Go to http://myumb.umaryland.edu.
- Sign in or if you are a first time user, register for a myUMBID.
- The Assistance and Service Center (ASC) Help Desk provides step-by-step instructions for obtaining a UMB barcode.
- For assistance, call the ASC Desk at (410) 706-4357.
- Go to http://www.hshsl.umaryland.edu/assistance/howdoi/eaccess.html.
University of Maryland, Baltimore County
To find your barcode follow the directions given below:
- Go to https://my.umbc.edu/topics/library/ and Log in.
- Your current barcode on record with UMBC will be listed as "Your Library ID".
