MCPS PATRONS’ BORROWING PRIVILEGES!

MCPS members have borrowing privilege at the Shady Grove Library. MCPS patrons can become a member of Shady Grove Library by filling out the MCPS Patron Registration Form (e.g. registration form). The completed registration form can be dropped off at the Shady Grove Library Circulation Desk, emailed at SGLIBCIRC@umd.edu as an attachment, or mailed to the following address:

After receiving the registration form, library staff will process the request. A Special Borrower Card is ready for pick-up by the MCPS patron on the next business day. Eligible MCPS borrowers will be able to borrow materials from the SG Library for 56 days and would be able to renew their materials online. Members of MCPS will be required to return all borrowed materials when due, pay fines for overdue items and pay for lost books and other borrowed items according to the University of Maryland Libraries Borrowing Policies. All library notices are sent via email to the patrons.

MCPS patrons can submit renewal request by filling out the Renewal Request Form.
