Featured: TLC Group Study Rooms

These 11 rooms are available for students to meet, work, and study with others. A group must consist of 3 or more people, and the maximum amount of time for a reservation is 2 hours.

Art Library Seminar Room
Located on the second floor of the Art Library, just past the graduate student lounge. This room can be booked by UMD users for a variety of activities, with priority given to faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Studio Art, Art History, and Sociology departments. Please ask the front desk to unlock the room.

The library offers 28 individual desks along the window wall, 4 tables for group study (2-5 people each), and 8 public computers. Noise level varies from quiet to collaborative.

This meeting space is located in the front wing of McKeldin Library on the first floor past the computers. The Conversation Room is available for a reservation of up to 4 hours. Reservations can be made from one week to 2 hours in advance.

Hornbake 3rd Floor Lobby
This lobby offers 15 tables that can seat small groups (up to 6 people each) working quietly together.

McKeldin Computer Area
Find it on the Floor Map - look for the yellow dots!
Near the entrance of McKeldin you'll find numerous PC and Mac computers, along with printers, copiers and scanners as well as spaces to charge and use your own device. You can print a paper quickly on the way to class or stay a while to work on an assignment; there are no time limits. Learn how to login to our computers, what software they have, and how many are currently available.

Portico

This covered outdoor space has 7 tables with chairs and offers a great view of McKeldin mall. It can be reserved by library partners and campus administrators for special events, either on its own or together with the Portico Room. Terrapin Learning Commons
The Terrapin Learning Commons (TLC) encompasses most of the public space on the 2nd floor of McKeldin Library. The main floor is not reservable and is first come, first serve. It contains tables and computers for both group and individual study.
