I joined the University of Maryland Libraries as Monographs & Media Cataloger in March 2020. In this role, I create descriptions of audiovisual materials (DVDs, VHS, and more) and rare books from the Special Collections and University Archives to help library users find and access these items. I also explore ways to share metadata about library collections with external databases such as Wikidata and Social Networks in Archival Context, enabling this data to be reused and remixed by anyone. I earned my MLS from the University of Maryland iSchool, and have an academic background in history and linguistics.
