Speaking of Books features book talks by faculty authors from the University of Maryland. These free events are open to all members of the campus community as well as the general public. Each author answers questions following his or her talk and signs books, which are available for purchase.
The Interdisciplinary Dialogue Series features panel discussions on important topics by scholars from various disciplines at the University of Maryland. The forums are free and are open to all members of the campus community, as well as to members of the general public.

The "Common Quandaries" graduate student workshop and event series offers introductions to a variety of skills, tools, and concepts to researchers on campus. The Graduate School Writing Center, in partnership with the Libraries, offers workshops for graduate students focused on entering an academic conversation through research and writing.
