Featured: TLC Group Study Rooms

These 11 rooms are available for students to meet, work, and study with others. A group must consist of 3 or more people, and the maximum amount of time for a reservation is 2 hours.

Art Library Seminar Room
Located on the second floor of the Art Library, just past the graduate student lounge. This room can be booked by UMD users for a variety of activities, with priority given to faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Studio Art, Art History, and Sociology departments. Please ask the front desk to unlock the room.

Carrels (Reservable)
These spaces for quiet individual study can be reserved for 1 hour slots with a maximum of 4 hours per day. Reservations can be made from one week to 2 hours in advance. Reservable study carrels are open to all University of Maryland-affiliated library users.

Faculty Office

Only for faculty and graduate students who work as instructors. A large desk with ergonomic chair allows for quiet, individual work. There is also a small table and additional chairs for those who need to complete group work.

Portico

This covered outdoor space has 7 tables with chairs and offers a great view of McKeldin mall. It can be reserved by library partners and campus administrators for special events, either on its own or together with the Portico Room.
