Access Online Resources On Campus

UMD Users

UMD students, employees, and community users can access the UMD Libraries’ online resources (databases, e-books, streaming videos, etc.) from anywhere on campus. Simply connect to the university Wi-Fi or use one of our computer workstations to access.

*You may be redirected to a page where you can enter your Directory ID and Password. If you have not already signed into another UMD service during this session, you will be asked to authenticate with DUO Multi-Factor Authentication.

Visitors

Most online resources licensed by the UMD Libraries can be accessed by visitors on library computers. Bring a current photo ID to a service desk at any of our libraries to obtain a guest account. With a guest account, you are able to log in to our public computers and use our resources.

Note: there are a few resources that can only be accessed by UMD students, faculty, staff, and research affiliates, as they require authentication with a Directory ID and password even when on-campus.  These are:

  • Chem BioDraw Ultra
  • EBL (EBooks)
  • Factiva
  • SciFinder Scholar

Problems? Please report them!

  • Is the resource showing up as unavailable, asking for a password, or asking you to purchase the article? Please let us know by filling out our report a problem form.
